Kent and Kelvin Trout       SPRING FISHING

Our excellent location at the confluence of the north and south branches of the historic Penobscot River and West end of Seboomook lake provide some of best "Native Brook Trout" fishing in Maine! Beautiful native trout brook are caught here. The one on the right, caught by our resident "fisherman/cook" Kelvin. His brother Kent shows off his own catch. Both fish caught in front of our lodge at Seboomook lake. Kelvin is always willing to give other sportsmen good advise on what local pond, stream or river to fish and what fly will work best. He enjoys teaching people how to tie flies! He'll not only serve up excellent information about where fish like these are caught, but he'll also prepare your catch for you. Whether it is the good tasting 6"-12" trout for great eating or the "big one to mount" you are looking for, this is the location to find it! We have the resources you need to make this an extremely enjoyable fishing trip for one or for the whole gang! We have canoes and kayaks available for rental or bring your own and launch it at the boat landing. Whatever best suits your fishing pleasure you will find this is the place to come and enjoy great brook trout fishing!

FALL HUNTING -

"White tail hunting is exceptional here" WithDana and deer harvested 'near' Pittston Farm 329,000 protect acres of hunting territory accessible for our guest here, the average hunter seldom sees another hunter in the woods. We are a remote area, twenty miles from the nearest community. Our hunting season starts in September for bear-hunting season and progresses through the first Saturday in December, ending with muzzle loading. There is bear hunting and our first moose hunt week in September. Beginning October is bird-hunting and our second moose hunt week. Next, is our excellent white-tail deer hunting which begins for Maine residents, the last Saturday in October and for non-residents the Monday after that. White-tail deer hunting last for four consecutive weeks.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES - Camping, Canoeoing, Kayaking, & Wildlife Tours

Canoeing 'near' Pittston Farm In warmer spring, summer and fall months, our canoes and kayaks are in demend. We serve as a base of operation for summertime activities. Our extremely close location (take out at our driveway) for some Class IV kayaking on the South Branch of the Penobscot River and gentle canoeing around our lodge and up into the North Branch of the Penobscot and down into Seboomook Lake for a sunset ride makes for wonderful exerices, entertainment, and wildlife viewing. We provide all transportation services for you and your canoe or kayak to many historic canoe adventure trips like the historic West Branch of the Penobscot trip with put in at Old Roll Dam or Lobster lake, the North Branch, a few miles above our lodge or transportation after kayaking Class IV whitewater at the south branch, just to start all over and do it again. All we need is the day and location you want to start your adventure, and be dropped off and the place and day of pick up. Advance notice is needed for this service. Let us take care of the transportation. We just want you to enjoy your trip on these clean, magnificent waters.

CAMPING

We have a licensed year round campground.  There are 24 recreational sites with 30 amp electric hook-ups, and a small tenting area as well.  Water and dumping station are provided on site for your convenience.  Seasonal as well as over-nite campers are welcomed.  Enjoy the view from our campground, especially our expectional sunrises!   Our Spring-Summer Season runs from May 15-Oct. 14 and our Fall-Winter Season from Oct 15-May 14.  Please call for more information and prices. 280-0000.
